John Bornschein, Chairman of the NDP Task Force, sent out the following e-mail this week concerning a Colorado Court of Appeals ruling which states that the governor’s proclamation for a state Day of Prayer violates the Constitutions’ provisions for religious liberty.

There was a wonderful time of fellowship, prayer and worship during yesterday’s evening National Day of Prayer event held at the Culpeper United Methodist Church. Vertical Worship led the attendees in worship through their music and a number of people participated in the service. Yesterday, I went to the monthly “Christ In Culpeper” (Prayer Culpeper) meeting at the Culpeper Train Depot. Eight prayer warriors were there initially and one more joined us before we finished. The presence of God was very strong.
